Since 1978 Schumacher UK has developed in Britain an unrivalled track record of hosting, formulating and promoting leading edge thinking and action on human scale sustainable development. Over the last few years our programme of activities has steadily expanded and our influence has been massively out of proportion to our small annual budgets. But with improved funding we can greatly increase our impact.

Much of our work so far has been done on a voluntary basis, and this can no longer continue. Our funding is much too small to allow us to realise our full potential. We aim to substantially increase our activities to produce the results we believe are possible. For this purpose a substantially increased level of funding is essential.
