URBAN SUSTAINABILITY- This century will see the majority of the world's population living in city spaces. Some will see these as a potentially dynamic and exciting habitat, others may regard them as alienating and isolating. Whatever response we have, it is unquestionable that cities have considerable environmental and cultural impact. These lectures considered both of these aspects - providing a celebration of the role of the cities in human development and an exploration of their effects on the environment.
